Symptoms

Customer Profile's "List of Circuits/Connections > Create an Order" page (w_customer_profile/creatserviceitemsorder.jsp) only provides the capability to disconnect the connection and not its parent product.

After the PSR order has been created, it is opened under the Order Information tab. Users must navigate to the Services tab to continue processing the order. At this point, it is very easy for a user to overlook disconnecting the connection's parent product because the products on the order are completely collapsed (depicted below) and they can simply click "Validate Order" then "Finish Order" then assign a Provisioning Plan. Users must remember to expand the products on the order (Global or Service Location) then right-click on the parent product and select "Disconnect This Item" (also depicted below).

Because of this, the parent product of disconnected connections remain "In Service". Consequently, disconnecting the Customer Account can be more difficult due to these left-over "In Service" parent products.
