RMS Forces Changing PO Status To 'W'orksheet To Allow Allocation Changes (Doc ID 2939315.1)

Last updated on APRIL 03, 2023

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

RMS forces changing PO status to 'W'orksheet to allow allocation changes

After creating the PO XDOCK and the distribution (allocs) via excel induction, RMS forces the user to change the PO status to worksheet before letting the user do any changes to the allocation. When approving again, RMS updates the cost which is not the expected behavior when the user is changing only the alloc distribution.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
It is expected that when you are adjusting the allocation distribution between stores that the cost is not updated when the allocation is re-approved.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1 - Upload a PO (2 or more items) and allocation distribution (for 2 or more stores) via excel induction.
2 - Download the PO and allocation distribution from RMS to ods file.
3 - Change the PO status to 'W'orksheet and upload the ods file to RMS.
4 - Download the PO and allocation distribution from RMS to ods file.
5 - Cancel the quantities to one item, PO + Alloc. Add the same item again with quantities and a new distribution (new stores).
6 - Upload the ods file to RMS.
7 - Approve the PO and allocs.

The customer is wanting to use file upload over the allocation software due to the volumes of POs that are processed. They are expecting it to work similar to allocation software but it doesn't.
