Windows DCOM Hardening enforcement (Mar’23 )

Expectations from App Teams and Server Owners
App teams and server owners are expected to get familiar with the upcoming DCOM hardening , proactively check out their systems, and work with their vendors to prepare for  DCOM hardening enforcement this year.
DCOM Error Events - The logs will help identify applications that might have compatibility issues after DCOM security hardening changes are enabled. New DCOM error events were added in the System log and can be found with Message-IDs 10036, 10037, and 10038. Teams can request logs to Windows Compute or review them on their own.
