Data Element Only Auto-Populates on the Create Step (Doc ID 2946981.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
In Workflow type Business Process (BP) records that have already been created, when processing the record through the steps, a Data Element (DE) that is configure to auto-populate with an entry from another DE source does not get auto-populated.

If a record is auto-created, or manually created, the DE does get auto populated.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------

The DE should get populated when moving an existing record through the workflow.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log in to Unifier as user
  2. Navigate to affected Shell > Affected BP
  3. Open an existing BP record
  4. Notice the affected DE is empty
  5. Send the record through all workflow steps
  6. Notice the the DE does not get auto-populated
  7. At the end step, the BP auto-creates the next record
  8. Notice the DE does get auto-populated.
