FTP 8.1.2: Redemption Curve Method Just Calculate FTP Interest For 1 Day (Doc ID 2949610.1)

Last updated on JUNE 02, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing - Version 8.1.2 to 8.1.2 [Release 8.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP)
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
Oracle Financial Services Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)

Symptoms

On FTP 8.1.2 version, when running a Transfer Pricing rule using Redemption curve method to calculate the FTP interest, the interest calculated uses the wrong number of days.

For example, update the Holiday Calendar from 12/31/2022 to 1/3/2023 as holidays and then calculate the FTP interest on 12/30/2022 (As_of_date = 12/30/2022).  It is then expected that the system will calculate the interest for five days like other methods (Straight term, average life). However, the FTP interest calculated by Redemption curve method appears to be for just for one day instead of the expected five days.

Steps:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. To create a Transfer Pricing rule using Redemption curve method to calculate the FTP interest:

Funds Transfer Pricing -> FTP Assumption Specification -> Transfer Pricing Rules

2. Run the process and check generated CHARGE_CREDIT_TRATE output
