High Database Fragmentation with AGILEUSER_CTX_IDX When Runing listFTSInfo.sql, Even Though CTX Indexes Are Rebuilt Montly (Doc ID 2950613.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

Seeing high fragmentation in AGILEUSER_CTX_IDX after running listFTSInfo.sql even though agile9_ctx_recreate.sql is run monthly to rebuild CTX indexes on Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database schema.




Expected Behavior

Avoid having high fragmentation with AGILEUSER_CTX_IDX which leads to performance issue.

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into sqlplus as agile database user, and run listFTSInfo.sql obtained from Note:1503311.1
  2. Check listFTSInfo.log generated, and see high fragmentation with AGILEUSER_CTX_IDX
  3. Have Agile running about a month, and run listFTSInfo.sql
  4. See the fragmentation of AGILEUSER_CTX_IDX is over 90 again.
