How To Setup A User for Email Submissions Using Port 587 Other Than an Admin? (Doc ID 2951318.1)

Last updated on MAY 26, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Qn1.: Email service is being provided for Fusion saas. One of the security requirements is for Fusion to submit email to an outbound MTA using port 587 (authenticated smtp), instead of using port 25.

role.dispatcher.service:SMTP_SUBMIT.tcp_ports = 587

It works fine when email is sent using port 587, if the admin user and the password set during initial installation/configuration is used. But in this use case, there is a need to create a separate user which will be used by the Fusion team to submit emails.

How can this be done?

Qn2: Does OCMS support OAuth for Authentication?
