Unable to Create .Pmt File for Batch Payment Processing in Billing Care (Doc ID 2951765.1)

Last updated on MAY 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 12.0.0.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Scenario:

User is utilizing the Payment Tool export function to generate the .pmt file so that it can serve as a record structure (template) and then re-use that to be able to perform batch payments in Billing Care. Billing Care in itself does not have such an export functionality or the ability to generate .pmt file. The business requirement is to do away with Payment Tool (which is a thick client) and deal only with Billing Care.

Oracle might be able to supply a sample .pmt file which will serve as a template and this sample file could be part of the product deliverables. Then user can do away with Payment Tool and utilize the sample file provided out of the box to build batch files for importing in to Billing Care for payment purpose. However the ask here is to be able to enter payments line by line interactively, with validation, in a similar way as what is available in Payment Tool.

This is the enhancement being requested in this scenario.
