Creating PSR Order Using "New From" Feature Copies All Service Items to the New PSR Order Even Though a Single Item was Selected (Doc ID 2955246.1)

Last updated on JUNE 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Unable to create a PSR order using the "New From" functionality for a single circuit that needs to be disconnected without the other circuits on the original order being copied over as well. The circuit which needs to be disconnected was originally installed and placed "In Service" on a PSR order with 3 other circuits for a total of 4. However, creating a PSR order using "New From" adds all 4 circuits to the order even though only the circuit needing to be disconnected was selected in the "New PSR Order From Existing PSR Order" window (w_so_new_from_copy). This behavior worked differently in MetaSolv Solution 5.2.

Image below shows one circuit selected to add to the new PSR order.

Image below shows all four circuits were added to the order.
