Symptoms

On : 16.0.1 version, Batches

purgeBatch.sh aborted with integrity constraint (RMSUSER.RPR_RPE_FK) error

RPM purgebatch is not deleting records from RPM_PROMO_EVENT tables and as a result promotions are not purged by the batch.

ERROR

ORA-02292: integrity constraint (RMSUSER.RPR_RPE_FK) violated - child record found


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. run the purge batch, ensure that will be promotions that have promo event attached to be selected by the purge process
2. Notice the ORA-02292: integrity constraint (RMSUSER.RPR_RPE_FK) violated - child record found

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, promotions are not selected for purge.
Data volume will increase on the system, slowing down users task and affecting general application performance.
