Unable To Increase Heap Size From 2GB To 3GB Via Docserv.xml (Doc ID 2960557.1)

Symptoms

We are unable to increase the heap size from 2 GB to 3GB via docserv.xml.
We are getting below error while tryingto start the documaker services after replaced with latest docserv.xml -

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.


To change heap size , we used below steps:
1) Updated heap space from 2048m to 3072m in docserv.xml and placed file in /tmp/docservXml in the server.
2) Login to the servers
3) Stop the IDS - docserv and docservids folders.
4) Place the docserv.xml file from staging location to the given path:
  Staging Location: /tmp/docservXml
  Path: /csapps/documaker/docupresentment/docservids
5) And provided docadmin access to docserv.xml file.
