Active Reservation Disappearing Mid-Session with Alarm: "There is no such reservation against Wallet <WALLET ID>" (Doc ID 2968672.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 12.0.4.0.0 to 12.0.6.0.0 [Release 12.0.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) versions 12.0.4 to 12.0.6 (inclusive), the following alarm is being logged mid-session (for both voice calls and data sessions) by the beVWARS processes on the Voucher and Wallet Server (VWS):

WARNING: Processing Exception on VWARS while processing be::Protocol Message: be VWARS RuntimeError: Handler error: ActionSequenceError: There is no such reservation against Wallet <WALLET ID>

This causes a NACK to be returned to the Service Logic Controller (SLC) and the running voice call/data session is disconnected.

This issue can be reproduced by:

1. Setting the Service Logic Execution Environment (SLEE) Call ID (CID)
2. Creating a Periodic Charge (PC)
3. Joining the PC with a subscriber
4. Start a long running session before the PC is due to expiry, and which triggers the PC to renew mid-session
