PDC GUI Is Not Suitable For Configuring SGSN IP Addresses And Zone Information (Doc ID 2969470.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 25, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Pricing Design Center - Version 12.0.0.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On : 12.0.0.4.0 version, User Interface

In Oracle Communications Pricing Design Center (PDC) and Cloud Native Core Policy(cnCP), the configuration of SGSN IP addresses and PLMN ID (MCC/MNC) are in long lists of elements in a single "text box". This basically makes maintaining them almost impossible and very error prone. Currently there is no validation either on syntax or on overlapping information.

Customer expectation is to have SGSN IP addresses and MCC/MNC codes maintained as a separate records and they can search on these values. Also one master data list for MCC/MNC and SGSN IP address to zone mapping using a single UI for PDC and cnCP. A single UI to manage MCC/MNC and SGSN IP address to zone mapping reducing errors and faster time to market.

Acronyms:
=========
SGSN - Serving GPRS Support Node
PLMN - Public Land Mobile Network
MCC - Mobile Country Code
MNC - Mobile Network Code
IP - Internet Protocol
UI - User Interface
