Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.0 to 15.0.0.0.0 [Release 6.0 to 15.0.0]
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 to 15.0.0.0.0 [Release 4.3 to 15.0.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C or 3C) up to and including 15.0.0.0, the Service Management System (SMS) screens' "Logout" option no longer just logs out the current user:

In older versions of the screens (when they ran as a Java applet rather than a Java Archive (JAR)), the "Logout" option would log out the current user and return to the login screen.

Now when using the "Logout" option, the screens close and need to be reopened in order to use them.  The Java Virtual Machine (JVM) is also left running and requires manual intervention to close it (ie. Task Manager or command line "kill").
