SDK Backwards Compatibility on Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System (Doc ID 2975303.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On Agile PLM system, the SDK is on 9.3.6.5 and Agile Application is on 9.3.6.15.8.  Need to know if the SDK has been updated in recent RUPs.  Please tell us if the new SDKs are either:

1) Backwards compatible
Can we update the SDK before we go to a new RUP.  We want to be able to update our tools before proceeding completing a RUP upgrade to minimize the amount of work performed during our upgrade?

2) Forwards compatible
Basically, the opposite of number 1. Can we upgrade to the latest RUP without updating the SDK on our tools.  Will the old SDK work with the latest RUP?
