"Apply" Button Removed from EWO's "Select Connection for Change" and "Select Connection for Disconnect" Windows (Doc ID 2979948.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The "Apply" button has been removed from the Engineering Work Order's (EWO) "Select Connection for Change" and "Select Connection for Disconnect" windows. It was previously displayed in the bottom-right corner. This behavior was observed after upgrading from version 6.3.1.452 to 6.3.1.705.2.

Previously, users could add multiple circuits to an EWO by clicking the "Disconnect Connection" or "Change Connection" links under "Manage Connections" to open the window, retrieve a list of circuits, select one or more circuits, click "Apply", re-retrieve another list of circuits, select one or more circuits again, click "Apply" and repeat until desired then click "OK". This could be achieved by opening the window one time. Now, users are forced to open the window multiple times to achieve the same results which is less productive. This new change in behavior was not documented.

Recreation Steps

1. Order Management.

2. New Engineering Work Order.

3. Enter required "Work Order Information" and click "Save and Continue".

4. Click "Manage Connections" link.

5. Click "Change Connection" link to open the "Select Connection for Change" window.

6. Enter criteria and click "Search".

7. Select one or more circuits from the list.
