Goal

OHI Component: Claims Administration
OHI Version: OHI 3.21.2

We presently use Provider Integration Point (Message Calls) for Provider updates into OHI from source system. Whenever we have new or change to product offerings, all Provider Networks supporting these products receive updates into OHI. Often, this results in OHI receiving a large volume of provider updates (un-throttled) which ends up consuming high CPU, OHI resources and eventually impacting other processes concurrently running in the OHI system.

We want to use the Batch Option and are looking for guidance and any additional information on Batch Performance.

From the Claims Application Guide, we understand that it is recommended to limit the file size to not larger than 20MB for batch option; do you also recommend that we trigger these batch updates in a controlled fashion or during off hours when not much activity is running in OHI so that it does not impact other processes?
