Last updated on DECEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing - Version 5.1.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On RMB v5.1.0.0.0, Repricing entities are getting created beyond membership end date

Membership has a limit between Start and End Date as Jan to Dec 2023.
Membership Characteristics has a future dated Char as Jan 2025 (this char is audited and pricing rule ELig char).
Inbound XML shows repricing event created skipping repricing event created for Jan 2025. This is working as expected since the date is beyond membership end date.
Now update Membership by adding a new char Multi insured from Jan 2023.
Inbound XML log shows repricing events created even for Jan 2025 though it is still beyond membership end date.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
-----------------------------
Repricing entities are created for items beyond membership end date when membership is updated with a new Characteristic for Membership.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
---------------------------------
Repricing entities should not be created beyond membership end date even when a membership update occurs.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Membership Characteristics has a future dated Char as Jan 2025 where Membership Start/End date is between Jan 1 and Dec 31 2023.
2. Update Membership by adding a new char Multi insured with Effective Date as Jan 1 2023.
3. Now run the batches.
  - Inbound XML log shows repricing events created even for Jan 2025.
