Determining IDD And Roaming Traffic Management With Diameter Replayer (Doc ID 2993038.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version 15.0.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On : 15.0.0.0.0 version, Diameter Gateway

Is Oracle Diameter Replayer, in manual Charging Bypass scenarios, capable of identifying service types like Isolated Delivery Detection (IDD) and roaming through Attribute-Value-Pair (AVP)?
Does it provide options to allow/restrict traffic for these specific services?

For example, when Diameter Gateway is configured to bypass rating during a planned maintenance activity or in an unplanned downtime of Elastic Charging Engine (ECE), Diameter Gateway receives Credit Control Requests (CCR)s and persists them to Oracle NoSQL Database. Later, when the ECE nodes are restarted, you stop the bypass rating extension and replay the persisted messages to the ECE charging servers for rating and updating balance impacts.

In this context, the query is whether Diameter Replayer is capable to identify specific services like international voice calls, roaming usage, etc. and options available to restrict/allow traffics for international calls, roaming usage etc.
