Symptoms
Production Scheduler (PS) solver uses resource capacity greater than the maximum capacity defined on a constrained labor resource to schedule the operations.
Steps:
- In PS application, open an existing sample PS model from the PS data library.
- Select the labor resource (LBRFIT), right click and select properties.
- Go to capacity tab and set labor resource as multi-capacity resources. Set maximum capacity as 10 and save.
- In the model workspace, select work order editor and create several work orders for the item using the LBRFIT resource and save.
- Solve the model.
- Navigate to resource gantt view and observe the LBRFIT resource uses 13 instances to schedule the work orders when the max resource instance capacity is set to 10.
