How To Remove/exclude Depreciation Or Non-cash Transactions From Roll Forward Disclosure? (Doc ID 2999021.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Accounting Analyzer - Version 8.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The client has included depreciation and lease amortization as expenses under expenses allocation along with other expenses such as salary, and rent. Please suggest how to take out the impact of depreciation from Roll forward disclosure.

Example
Under expenses allocation Salary, Rent, and Depreciation is allocated 100, 50, and 30 respectively to LIC. Full payment made for Salary and Rent and the impact of these expenses will be zero at the end of the reporting period or closing of GoC, however, depreciation will remain there as there will be no cash outflow. The client needs to exclude depreciation as well otherwise it will remain there always. Please suggest how we can exclude depreciation in the tool or if we can use “Other Changes” in the roll forward disclosure to remove the deprecation impact in the tool.
