Symptoms
A few hours after startup random managed servers begin exhibiting memory leak behavior, then starting having full GCs and then eventually run out of memory. Restarting the managed server in question can sometimes resolve the issue.
Changes
Analysis of the heap dump once the scenario is encountered show a large amount of "java.lang.ref.Finalizer" objects that are not getting cleaned up.
