Task Status Is Displayed Incorrectly When Not Required Task Is Changed To Required
(Doc ID 3007738.1)
Last updated on MARCH 01, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.3.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When a task that was previously marked as 'not required' is updated to be required again, the task status is displayed as 'Ready' when the task status should be 'Pending' due to open predecessor tasks. The task maintenance window shows that any task that was changed from not required to required is in 'Ready' status, regardless of whether it has open predecessor tasks. When the changes are saved, the task status is properly written to the database as 'Pending' and shown correctly when the window is re-opened. The incorrect status appears to only be displayed to the user and not saved, which is extremely confusing for the user. The window should reflect the proper task status when a task is marked as required based on the status of the predecessor tasks.
This issue was identified in 6.3.1.788 as a result of the task management changes that were made in 6.3.1.705.
