ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
-----------------------------
There was a previous issue that is related to the current issue, so some background is required. Some Activities were not viewable through the Unifier User Interface (UI) when there had been a change to the Project/Shell number, but there were still valid activities that existed in the Unifier database and thus they should have been displayed. Unifier Development determined there would be a code fix/enhancement in Unifier version 23.12 to make those Activities viewable through the UI even after the project/shell number had been changed. It was confirmed that the existing Activities could again be viewed after the 23.12 upgrade. It was also found that when reverting the Project Number back to the original number that was assigned at the time of project/shell creation the Activity Picker would still provide the expected list of Activities in the Activity Sheet.
A new but related issue is that if the new Project number is used, then the Business Process that is used to create changes to the Activity Sheet, and which uses the same Activity Picker, is not displaying any of the same Activities that are displayed in the Activity Sheet. When using the original Project number, the activity picker will properly display the Activities.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
------------------------------
All Project/Shell Activities should be displayed in both the Activity Sheet or in a Business Process that is pulling the same Activities via the Activity Picker, even if the project/shell number has been modified.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Log into the Unifier environment.
- Navigate to the Project where the issue has been observed. (NOTE: There is a new project number from the original) > User Mode > Schedule Manager > Activity Sheet > Open the Activity Sheet > Note that there are X number of Activity IDs listed correctly.
- From same Schedule Manager node, click on the BP used to make Activity Sheet Changes > Click "+Create" > In the "Create New Activity Sheet Changes" window, click on "Activities" > Line Item Details tab, Click on "Activity" picker, there are 0 Activities displayed here for P6 Activity Picker in the associated Activities View.
- It can be noted that if the Project # is change back the original # from time of creation, then the same Activity picker will display the same Activities that are displayed in the Activity Sheet and this is working as expected. So it is just an issue of the Activity Picker (ugenActivityPK) not displaying the activities in a Business Process when the Project number has been modified from what it was originally when created.
