Suggested Due Date of MPS Planned Item's Components Is Incorrect When MPS Plan Is Input As Demand Schedule To MRP Plan. (Doc ID 3023462.1)

Last updated on MAY 27, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.6.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running an Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) plan with MPS plan output as input demand schedule, component's Suggested Due Date of MPS planned items is incorrect.

Plan Option "Material Scheduling Method" is set to 'Operation Start Date'.

1. Launch ASCP Plan

Nav: Advanced Supply Chain Planner (R) -> Supply Chain Plan -> Plans -> Select the plan and click launch

2. Review the plan output.

Nav: Advanced Supply Chain Planner (R) -> Supply Chain Plan -> Workbench -> Right Click on Plan -> Supply\Demand-> Supply\Demand -> Query the item -> Review the plan output

Planned order of MPS planned item has the following dates:

Sugg Due Date = 03-SEP-2025 and Sugg Start Date = 15-JUL-2025

However the planned order demand for the component is on 03-SEP-2025.

Expectation is that the planned order demand is generated with due date of 15-JUL-2025.
