Plan Results When Using Plan Type - MPS with Inline Recalculation - The Results Show Work Order Demand Is Getting Duplicated For Sub-assemblies (Doc ID 3025473.1)

Last updated on JUNE 03, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.6.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Work Order Demand is getting duplicated under sub-assemblies in MPS plan.

Work order for Assemby1 - qty = 1
has component - SubAssembly-A  - qty = 1

In the Plan output, the expectation is 1 line as follows:
Item                 / Qty   / Order type
SubAssembly-A  /  1     / Work Order Demand

However plan output shows 2 identical lines for same order type and order number

Issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
NAV: Advanced Supply Chain Planner (R) / Supply Chain Plan
1. Open Supply Planning Work Area - Options - choose MPS Inline Recalculation
2. Open Launch, pick plan and submit request.
2. When completed, Open Workbench and view the Supply/Demand for the item.
