Assignee Blank In Case Context Screen

Symptoms
After reassigning a case using the "Assign" button, the Case Context is not displaying the updated Assignee.
Steps to Reproduce Problem
--------------------------
1. Select a case
2. Go to case details page
3. Click on "Assignee" button
4. Reassign the case to a different user whose rptg_group_cd is different then logged in user.
5. Case assignment is successful.
6. Case assignee is blank in case context screen.
7. But the new assignee is reflected in case audit and case list grid.
