Ampersand Character in a UDF Name Is Not Displayed in the 'User Defined Fields' Tab of the Details Section in P6 Professional (Doc ID 3029860.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

An ampersand ('&') character in a UDF name is not displayed in the User Defined Fields tab of the Details section at the bottom of the P6 Professional window.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Ampersands should be displayed in User Defined Fields.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Professional, create an Activity UDF with a name such as "Test & Result".
  2. Open a project and navigate to the Activities view.
  3. Highlight an activity then navigate to the User Defined Fields tab in the Details section below.
  4. Click Customize user defined fields  and add the UDF added in step 1.
  5. Observe the reported behavior.
