New Field Creation Not Getting Synced In ECE Cache

Symptoms
Customer created new custom field in BRM. Filed is reflecting in BRM database DB but new field is not getting synced in ECE cache.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Added the field under following path and file: $BRM_HOME/PortalDevKit/include/custom_flds.h
2. Created custom field in $BRM_HOME/sys/test/event.podl file.
3. Restarted the CM for field sync.
4. New field is getting reflected in BRM DB tables but not in ECE cache.
