After Upgrade Dimension Attributes Incorrectly Showing as Seeded No on the Attributes Summary Page

Symptoms
On 8.1.2, all dimension attributes have Seeded column showing as no on the attributes summary page.
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
In 6.1, have observed that certain rows are marked as yes and certain rows marked as No for seeded option where in 8.1.2 all of them marked as No and there is not any option to enable to Yes.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Currently doing an upgrade project and expect that the configuration from 6.1 should be the same with 8.1.2.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Navigate to Attributes
Select PRODUCT dimension (or other key dimension)
Notice the summary page, last column, "Seeded" is showing "NO" for all rows.
It should be yes for the seeded attributes.
