Update Number Category Is Not Working In BRM12 Number Administrator Tool

Symptoms
On : 12.0.0.8.0 version,
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

User noticed that no longer being able to update the Category or Native status of an MSN of Number Category in Number Administrator Tool after upgrading to BRM 12 PS8.
NOTE:The same changes are working fine in BRM7.5 Number Administrator.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Should be able to edit(same behavior as in BRM7.5 Number Administrator)
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install the 12 PS8 or latest patch 36649548 which is having brm_clients.
2. Opened the "Number Administration Tool" tool, clicked File->Search Numbers it displays "Search Numbers".
3. Enter some number like "*0605" and selected "search" button.
4. It displayed one record, on that clicked once "Category" column. No change...
when double click on the same, will get an error ""Unable to perform that action" in UI
5. On the console from where it opened the "Number Administration Tool" tool. NullPointerException Exception is seen
