Ora-06502 Error Returned When Logging into RDC Using Default Search Option Activity

Symptoms
Using the Default Search Option set to ACTIVITY causes the following errors when logging into RDC
4.5 after entering the username and password.
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
ORA-06512: at "RXC.RDC_USER_ACTIVITY_TAGS", line 237

FRM-40735: WHEN-TREE-NODE-SELECTED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502
If the Default Search Option is set to SEARCH, the following error is returned:
Your search retrieved more CRFSs than the maximum allowed of 10000 add a filter, or increase the
maximum in the preferences window
Once the preferences are modified, logging into RDC is successful.
