Symptoms

After  migrating to an OC 4.5.1 instance to 4.5.3, the users cannot have access to the RDC 4.5.3 interface.

After entering a username and password, there is an error :

Error in your account setup. Please contact your help desk.



here an example of user account (<USER1> represents the name of the user; <PASSWORD1> is the password for <USER1>):

CREATE USER <USER1>

IDENTIFIED BY VALUES <PASSWORD1>

DEFAULT TABLESPACE USERS

TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP

PROFILE USERPROFILE

ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

-- 9 Roles for <USER1>

GRANT CONNECT TO <USER1>;

GRANT RXC_ANY TO <USER1>;

GRANT RXC_INV TO <USER1>;

GRANT RXC_RDC TO <USER1>;

GRANT RESOURCE TO <USER1>;

GRANT RXC_RDCT TO <USER1>;

GRANT RDC_ACCESS TO <USER1>;

GRANT RXCLIN_MOD TO <USER1>;

GRANT RXCLIN_READ TO <USER1>;

we don't have the issue with the CRA profile (<USER2> represents the name of the user;<PASSWORD2> is the password for <USER2>):

e.g.:

TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP

If you revoke the RXC_INV privilege from an investigator account and grant RXC_DMGR, it works!

This error is also presented if the default RDC study for a user does not have any study sites assigned.

To correct this the user can do the following:

1) Create study sites
2) Login to RDC Classic/PDF mode and change to another study with valid study sites.
