Error 500 displayed in the MetaSolv Solution Navigation Bar on IBM AIX5L (Doc ID 787935.1)

Last updated on MAY 18, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.0.15 to 6.0.16 [Release 6.0.15 to 6.0.16]
IBM AIX on POWER Systems (32-bit)
IBM AIX5L Based Systems (32-bit)
This issue impacts the user’s ability to navigate in the application because the Navigation Bar is not displayed. The “Find Links” functionality still allows users to perform most activities in the application.

Symptoms

Customers who have installed M6 Application Servers deployed to WebLogic domains running on IBM AIX may see an “Error 500--Internal Server Error” where the Navigation Bar is expected to display. Numerous “javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: org.apache.xml.utils.WrappedRuntimeException: Unknown error in XPath.” messages are also captured in the appserverlog.xml (see below).

Below is a screen-shot of the error displayed in the GUI:
