Goal
This document provides instruction for rebuilding the OBSPROJ table in Project Management. Invalid records in the OBSPROJ table can result in an attempt to add duplicate entries in the UACCESS table resulting in login failure, displaying of projects outside the active EPS structure, or users' inability to view their projects. To resolve this, the OBSPROJ table can be rebuilt using existing project and OBS data.
- The OBSPROJ table is used to store security at the Project/EPS level and determine users' rights to access project data. This information is then used to populate the UACCESS table.
- The OBSPROJ table is a working table and does not store permanent data; therefore it may be safely rebuilt without compromising P6 projects.
- Primavera strongly recommends completing the OBSPROJ rebuild while users are logged out of P6 Professional and P6 Web, and ensure no users login while the rebuild is running.
- If P6 users are unable to see projects after making changes to OBS (Responsible Manager) assignments, please see Doc ID 907647.1 - P6 Projects are missing, OBSPROJ table not being updated as expected.
