DVG VALIDATION ERROR IN NEWLY MIGRATED 4.5.3.17 DB DID NOT OCCUR IN OLD 4.5.0 (Doc ID 973456.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Clinical - Version 4.5.3 to 4.5.3 [Release 4.5.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In RDC Onsite: Data Entry, a Validation Error is presented with the following text:

Reason: DVG
Description: Value of LB for Weight Unit of Measure not found in kg, lb.

Checkbox labels for DE form (before the migration) were saved in mixed case for example kg and lb instead of KG and LB. After the migration the values were saved in upper cases (i.e. KG, LB). Unfortunately, where some of the data has been migrated, the newer labels are not equal to the mixed case data. This results in the error condition described above.

Background/Setup:

OC: Glib > Discrete Value Grps > Discrete Value Grps

In the Maintain Discrete Value Groups form there is an option: Upper Case?

The HELP description is: "If you check this field the characters in the response to the DVG-associated Question are forced to uppercase. You can change this field only for Provisional and Active DCMs."

Also, there is a 'Checked Flag Value' which throws the following prompt:
"If Display Type is Flag, determines the value transmitted when the flag is checked. Must be one of the Active discrete values.

What's the best way for the customer to fix the data which is apparently not migrated or not converted from mixed case to upper case?
