Limit On Number Of Concurrent Users Through LVP

(Doc ID 987372.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 26, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Policy Services - Version: 6.1.2 and later   [Release: 6.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

As per the Planning Guide that was available for Policy Services v5.2.1, it was stated that LVP limits the maximum number of concurrent users to 40. The initial planning for the project was carried out based on the Policy Service product version 5.2.1. As per the planning guide page 14:

LVP limits the number of active API or GUI sessions to 40. The system access limits conform to the following equation:
(#API sessions) + (#GUI sessions) = 40
With up to 20 million users loaded in the database, and “uid” indexed for substrings, the GUI response time is acceptable (sub-second) for user, customer, Radius profile and Radius server search operations.

We want to understand if the above is still valid for PS 6.1.2?
If the limit still holds, is there any way to increase this limit? Maybe some configuration / properties file parameter?
