Purpose

Collect Transactions is an ESS (Enterprise Scheduler Service) Program that submits an ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) request. Program is used to create or update Incentive Compensation Transactions.

Menu path:  Navigator > Incentive Compensation > Credits and Earnings > Collect Transctions

To use the Collect Transactions ESS program, users have to insert transaction data into the staging table, CN_TP_TRANSACTIONS_STAGING_T, before they submit the Collect Transactions ESS request. If the data provided in the staging table is valid then the transaction is created or updated based on the values of the columns source_trx_number and transaction_type in the staging table. If there is no matching transaction with the same source_trx_number and transaction_type then a new transaction is created. But if there is a match then the old transaction is obsolete and a new transaction is created. If there are any validation errors in the staging data then the corresponding transaction is still imported but the column object_status is updated with value COLLECTION_ERROR. User can query these transactions in Manage Transaction page and correct them.
