Symptoms

Example of possible outcome when fields are not set as Read-only: Some UDF values appear as expected content pages and forms but then disappear after a different form is submitted by the candidate. 

Changes

Offer and Requisition and Department standard and user-defined fields (UDF):
These fields can only be read-only when displayed on onboarding forms because there are proper ways to update these fields within the Recruiting product. It would not be desirable to make changes to an onboarding form that bypassed any Recruiting approval procedures that have been put in place for these types of information.

The following standard fields are not editable (Read-only) in User-defined Forms: Current Address - City, Current Address - State, Current Address - Country.
The Current Address fields are automatically populated by the "Place of Residence" information. To modify these fields you will need to update the candidate "Place of Residence" as the user in Recruiting, or the as the candidate in the 'My Account' in the Career Section.
