Purpose

The Oracle RACcheck Configuration Audit tool was originally developed specifically and exclusively for use within Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments.  However, over the years the scope of RACcheck has been expanded to include Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA), single instance non-RAC database, Oracle Golden Gate and other products and/or features with coverage for even more Oracle products planned for the near future.  Therefore, the name of the RACcheck tool will be changed to ORAchk to more accurately reflect this tool's scope and utility.
