Special Characters and Strange Behavior

Symptoms
Users can run into an error or odd behavior when using special characters. Below are a few possible symptoms:
- A numerical part number preceded with a slash may cause an HTTP 500 error.
- Such as using /12345
- Such as using /12345
- A string name containing an ampersand may cause a connection reset.
- Such as using AT&T
- Such as using AT&T
- Double-quotes will cause the string to be interrupted.
- For example They Say “That’s Amore” becomes They Say
- For example They Say “That’s Amore” becomes They Say
- The % character is used as a delimiter. If it is used in attribute name, it could cause a problem.
- For example using Item%Weight will cause the debugger to freeze
