Last updated on MAY 25, 2024

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Users can run into an error or odd behavior when using special characters. Below are a few possible symptoms:

  1.  A numerical part number preceded with a slash may cause an HTTP 500 error.
    • Such as using /12345

  2. A string name containing an ampersand may cause a connection reset.
    • Such as using AT&T

  3. Double-quotes will cause the string to be interrupted.
    • For example They Say “That’s Amore” becomes They Say

  4. The % character is used as a delimiter.  If it is used in attribute name, it could cause a problem.
    • For example using Item%Weight will cause the debugger to freeze
