SSH Access to CPQ Cloud FTP Servers Using Public/Private Key Pairs
(Doc ID 2006169.1)
Last updated on MAY 15, 2020
Applies to:
Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 11.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
One effective way of securing SSH access to a CPQ Cloud FTP server is to use a public/private key pair. This means that a public key is placed on the FTP server and a private key is placed on your local workstation. Using a key pair makes it difficult for someone to log in by using just a password, as long as you set up SSH to deny password-based authentication. Additionally, you can increase security even more by protecting the private key with a passphrase.
