Goal
Transaction Guard is a tool for developers to use that provides a reliable commit outcome following errors and timeouts. It is supported only when an error or timeout is returned indicating that the last session is dead.
When TAF and Transaction Guard are both used, developers can use the TAF errors to rollback and safely resubmit for TAF error codes ORA-25402, ORA-25408, ORA-25405. When TAF is enabled, developers must not use Transaction Guard directly.
