Absence Approval Workflow Does Not Send an Email (Doc ID 2035160.1)

Symptoms


When users Enter an absence for a single day or multiple days, the manager does not get the email. Emails work for other transaction workflows. The manager can approve/reject the notification when logging onto FA worklist.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Manage Time and Manage Absence Record.
2. Enter an absence for a single day or multiple days.
3. The absence entry goes into the Awaiting approval, but manager doesn't see the approval email. The email does go to the worklist and the manager is able to approve the notification though worklist without difficulty.
