Goal

How and why to reset a collection.

Collections

The term collection is used to describe any relation between entities where one instance of one entity can be linked to several instances of the other entity. E.g. Users can be assigned more than one user group.

Updating Collections

When changing the elements of a collection, it is necessary to identify the existing member of the collection before changing it. In an ongoing import, this is troublesome, since it requires knowing which items are assigned to each of the existing imported entities. Taleo Connect imports can reset a collection, thereby erasing all of its content before assigning new items.
