Fusion INV: Error while Creating Account Alias Key Flexfield (Doc ID 2106915.1)

When attempting to create Account Alias key flexfield facing the below error

ERROR
-----------------------
The value set XXXX cannot be assigned to this segment YYYY account alias.
In application 401, key flexfield MDSP, and structure XXXX, default value set XXXX cannot be assigned to segment YYYY account alias which uses column SEGMENT1. The assigned value set must have a data type that is compatible with the column data type and its maximum length must be no longer than the column length.

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Navigate to Manage Inventory Value Sets and create a value set
2. Navigate to Manage Inventory Account Alias Key Flexfield >> Manage Structures and create a new structure
3. Add segments to the above created structure
4. When trying to save it, it is throwing an error.
