After Branding is Applied it's Not Possible to Open Menu Items in the Same Tab (Doc ID 2184198.1)

Symptoms

You have created a custom theme and uploaded the side bar and home page logo through:

After refreshing the cache the side bar logo is visible but nothing will display in the home page (main part of the screen).

When menu items are selected, they do not display.

You find that if right-click a menu item and open in a new tab (which prompts you to first log in)  you are able to see the menu items.
