Add Resource To The Account Team Using Groovy

On : 18.104.22.168.0 version, Accounts, Contacts, Households
Server error when a groovy script to add sales team member is invoked.
Currently logged in user should have the ability to add himself to the team by selecting a check box “Add to Team”.
This customization would allow the user have access to the leads created on accounts in which he is not part of the team by adding himself to the account team.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Created a custom check box field
2. Added a script on the before update trigger to add the currently logged in user to the account team
Observe Error thrown when Groovy is invoked
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, customer's requirement is not met.
