Last updated on OCTOBER 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Project Costing Cloud Service - Version 11.1.11.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On : 11.1.11.1.0 version, Manage Project Costs-Capture Project Costs

Users are receiving following validation error when processing transactions via 'Costed or Accounted Expenditure Batch for Third-Party Applications' or 'Manage Unprocessed Transactions' on the UI -

Reported Error -
Message Text - The ledger raw cost variance is not within the defined tolerance limit.
Cause - The difference between the ledger raw cost you have provided {ENTERED_LEDGER_RAW_COST} and the system-calculated ledger raw cost {CALC_LEDGER_RAW_COST} is not within the tolerance {ROUNDING_LIMIT}.
( ENTERED_LEDGER_RAW_COST=49,818.854, CALC_LEDGER_RAW_COST=50,024.39 and ROUNDING_LIMIT=0 )

Action - You can either edit the ledger raw cost to be within the tolerance or set the tolerance limit to accept the entered ledger raw cost and then submit the transactions for cost processing.

We have our precision value 2, and the extended precision value is 5 -

It works when user manually make both the above amount same. Please advise how to resolve this rounding limit issue.
