An allocation rule is defined with a variable (run time parameter) for the Accounting Period.
The variable is used in the POV of the rule and when running the Generate Allocation program, the Period parameter is displayed and the period can be selected
from a list of values but sometimes the Allocate General Ledger Balances program ends in error.
Error in Rule Execution. Cannot Perform Custom Calc. Essbase Error(1260046): Unknown Member Period_Name used in query
1. Define an allocation rule that uses a variable for the accounting period
2. Submit the Generate Allocations program. It shows the variable for the period as a parameter.
3. Select the period from the LOV and submit the program. See that sometimes the program ends in error.
